Trilene 100% Fluorocarbon is the newest line by Berkley. While it's Trilene monofilament counterpart has been around for a long time, and is the #1 selling line, new technologies have emerged. If you have never used fluorocarbon line before, its a great technology with plenty of benefits for the average , to experienced angler. Less stretch, more feel, and durability are just a few of the obvious ones.

Berkley's site says "It's the Ultimate in manageability and the ultimate in invisibility. With a similar refractive index as water, fish can't see it! It's easily the most sought after fishing line by most of the touring Pro's."

Here's why you want Fluoro. Pay attention.

Price: At $20 for 200 yards, the initial sticker shock is kind of bad. Not only is it 3 times more than your average monofilament line, but its only 200 yards, instead of the regular 300+. One thing to remember is that this isn't a line that you are going to use a few times and then respool. Fluorocarbon lasts awhile, which is key to its success.
