Shimano Chromica B

Shimano Chromica reel

A couple of Shimano's new secret reels for 2008 can now be seen and purchased on LBF and Monster Fishing Tackle. Is this just a harbinger for Shimano's 2008 reel lineup??? The Chromica is seen in a 100 profile, with 6.2:1 ratio and sports a graphite frame. For $80, it has 4+1 Shielded Stainless Steel Ball Bearings and the slotted handle just like its Citica and Curado brothers. Its pricepoint is  obviously aimed at the beginner, but with decent specs to back it all up for the money spent.

At the $70 price, you get bumped down 1 bearing, but keep everything else that the Chromica has. Why not just spend the extra $10 is the question everyone will be asking.
