Trilene 100% Fluorocarbon is the newest line by Berkley. While it’s Trilene monofilament counterpart has been around for a long time, and is the #1 selling line, new technologies have emerged. If you have never used fluorocarbon line before, its a great technology with plenty of benefits for the average , to experienced angler. Less stretch, more feel, and durability are just a few of the obvious ones.

Berkley’s site says “It’s the Ultimate in manageability and the ultimate in invisibility. With a similar refractive index as water, fish can’t see it! It’s easily the most sought after fishing line by most of the touring Pro’s.”

In case you are new to the game, they have you covered.

Price: At $20 for 200 yards, the initial sticker shock is kind of bad. Not only is it 3 times more than your average monofilament line, but its only 200 yards, instead of the regular 300+. One thing to remember is that this isn’t a line that you are going to use a few times and then re-spool. Fluorocarbon lasts awhile, which is key to its success.

Professional, and it means it!

  1. Total garbage line.strong but horrible casting and workability.constantly slaps the pole on every cast, reduces casting distance and entry to target.reel line magic doesn’t help at all,ill never use this crap again….even for free!!!!!!!!!!

  2. Trilene 100% floro?

Pros allegedly want this line and others you used it say it has problems. Seemed like XT trilene with better properties but very expensive for what it is.

  3. I’ve fished this line for an entire season now. it is awesome. If you aren’t used to fluorocarbon line you will likely find it to be somewhat stiff especially compared to mono. But this stuff is tough. And i mean tough. All the things FC should be, tough and abrasion resistant and nearly invisible.
